Twee curves: een wereld van verschil

Vorig jaar is in Nederland, eerst voor verzekeraars en vervolgens voor pensioenfondsen, nieuwe regelgeving ingevoerd die betrekking heeft op het waarderen van verplichtingen. Ogenschijnlijk zijn de nieuwe regels vrijwel identiek. Voor beide sectoren wordt marktwaardering gedeeltelijk losgelaten en wordt er een nieuwe rentetermijnstructuur in het leven geroepen die voor lange looptijden oploopt naar een constant langetermijngemiddelde. Wie naar het renterisico kijkt, ziet dat er wel een groot verschil tussen beide sectoren bestaat.
